(Nashville, Tenn., June 15, 2006) – PivotHealth, LLC., a premier provider of physician practice management and consulting services nationwide, announced today that they have named Bill Amery as a Senior Vice President.  Amery is a veteran principal in the physician practice management arena.  In addition to his role at PivotHealth, Amery has assumed the position of Chief Administrative Officer of the Queens-Long Island Medical Group, a 300 physician group currently under management contract with PivotHealth.

Prior to joining PivotHealth, Amery served as Vice President of the Administration Department for Dean Medical Center in Madison, Wisc., where he was instrumental in developing physician leadership among the 27 medical departments within the Dean Health System. Previously, Amery served 14 years in senior administrative roles within the Mayo Clinic and owned a consulting practice, Partners Consulting Group, Ltd., in Minneapolis, Minn. Amery has also been a member of numerous professional organizations, previously serving as President of both the American College of Medical Practice Executives [1996-1997], and the Minnesota Medical Group Management Association. Amery was also a recipient of the “Eugenie Sontag Award for Outstanding Achievement in Health Administration” from the University of Colorado [1980].

Amery holds a master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of Colorado Medical School in Denver, Colo., as well as a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from the University of Minnesota, in Minneapolis, Minn.
