Michael Harris has more than 25 years of senior healthcare administration and management experience, including a strong background in assessing operational performance of HMOs, IPAs, and MSOs. His experience encompasses all levels of healthcare leadership such as the assessment and development of integrated healthcare delivery systems, business development of mergers and acquisitions of medical groups/IPAs, preparation and implementation of fiscal budget, facility planning/development, and the strategic development and planning of operational and fiscal management. In addition, he has developed several publications related to healthcare risk management and is co-author to a nationally recognized risk contracting manual.
 
 
 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• Instructor for University of Southern California Master’s Program.
   
• Principal of Harris Consulting, Inc., where he not only helps company’s facilitate mergers, business development and practice management, but also conducts several speaking engagements pertaining to health care trends, managed care contracting and practice development.
   
• Served as Health Care Consultant and Manager for Healthcare Partners/The Camden Group.
   
• Provided leadership as Vice President of Business Development, Marketing and Communications for Healthcare Partners, Harris helped establish major business plans for leading healthcare providers (e.g., PacifiCare, Health Net, Blue Cross, Blue Shield).
   
• Executive Vice President/Administrator for La Vida Medical Group and Independent Practice Association (IPA).
