Mike McClintock’s entire career has been in the health care industry where he has excelled in development, negotiations and operations. He is noted as a successful "change agent" in facilitating turnaround planning and restructuring for physician groups. He has extensive experience in working with senior health system management and the physician leadership of large medical groups. McClintock has more than 30 years of experience with health care companies, the first 12 spent in hospital and inpatient settings. He has been working with physicians in large multi-specialty clinics for the last 18 years. He is a co-founder of PivotHealth, LLC, and is currently responsible for the operations of the 180-physician Mercy Medical Group and manages other Catholic Healthcare West Medical Foundation practice groups in Northern California.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Led the multi-million dollar turnaround of a 120-physician multi-specialty group in Rockford, Illinois, serving for two years as a member of the PivotHealth team. Assumed roles of Operational Vice President and Interim Executive Director during this successful turnaround period.
- Worked in the Senior Operations position with PhySys, PhyCor's wholly owned subsidiary dedicated to working with physicians affiliated with large health systems. At PhyCor, he was involved in operations, development and merger and acquisitions, responsible for the financial analysis, deal structure and negotiations of 85 % of all PhyCor clinics.
- Appointed as Controller of Hospital Corporation of America's (HCA) Medical Transportation Company. With the divestiture of that firm, assumed the CFO position for the newly formed American Medical Transport, Inc. Served as Chief Financial Officer of an HCA hospital before moving to the division office where he was responsible for the financial operations of multiple facilities.
