Debra Wiggs has over 20 years of administrative experience in the field of medical group practice management. Her expertise includes strategic planning and systems development, third party payer contracting, information systems selection, implementation and management, and medical practice and IPA administration.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- As Practice Administrator for Lynden Family Medicine, P.S. Inc., a nine-provider family practice with two clinic sites, Wiggs planned, developed and implemented practice growth from three physicians to eight physicians. She was responsible for facilities management, information systems, and financial management including administering a 2.5 million dollar annual budget and successfully implementing conversions to electronic practice management system.
- Practice Administrator/Hospital Superintendent with Inter Island Medical Center, a level 5 trauma center and family practice, where she turned a projected $250,000 deficit to a $100,000 reserve within 3 years. She also established Rural Health Clinic designation and completed the transition to paperless medical record.
- Served as Chief Executive Officer for ComPASS, LLC, a management services organization that provided medical practice business administration services, where she supported the practice, revenue cycle, and information systems management for 70 physicians as well as exceeded national benchmarks for accounts receivable performance and cost management.
